The world is what it is for a reason. We're not trying to change the world, just some of those reasons. Human nature may have some destructive tendencies but it's also loaded with creativity, the longing for connection, and the ability to cooperate in order to solve problems. Behind our humanity and mental force is a total energy system even more ingenious, a true master of environmental optimization. We believe we are how that energy expresses itself. How it learns, builds and becomes aware. How it loves. So why do we do things the way we do them?
Resonant Ecology's mission is to awaken our consciousness to the deepest and oldest roots of planet Earth in order to reveal the full potential of the human organism and its ability to pave a sustainable future.
"I was taught a history where the roots of every individual are tightly interwoven and events aren't randomly scattered across time, but just as connected as all of us. Introduced to a world where all people and their actions matter, they make a difference, for better or worse, I was stunned by the realities of adulthood and the dissonance of our modern world.
One day my dad brought me back to see a maple tree I planted when I was little. He's been maintaining that site for over 20 years. I felt the special connection he has with all of his work and how good it feels to see something you gave life to thriving. I've met so many people who are utterly lost in a society, seemingly without real meaning besides earning a living, and totally disconnected from themselves and the natural world. This is our way of reconnecting and giving new life, not just to the environment, but ourselves. Inserting some meaning into the mundane and having fun doing something terribly serious."
-President, Kristi Strazzullo
Luckily, in the age of the internet we don't have to be close to come together. Our past and experience has provided us with tools to build a bridge to a healthier future. The blocks and beams lie in the hearts of every one of you!
Resonant Ecology celebrates "individuality by incorporation," a term coined by Lynn Margulis in her revolutionary work, Symbiotic Planet.
Her research on symbiogenesis and propriocepion reinforced Jim Lovelock's conclusion that "the sum of life optimizes the environment for its own use" and it suggests that, fundamentally, cooperation is the true evolutionary engine of our planet.
From this point of view, it is the most successful cooperators that out compete other organisms in the end. Our team is dedicated to embodying these concepts. The key to our vision coming together is diversity and cooperation. We are friends, sons, daughters, scientists, soldiers, tech geeks, band nerds, athletes, artists, a father, a tree hugger, dog lovers, old school hard work, and modern ingenuity. It's the combination of our passions and interests together that created a thought, a feeling that resonated.
Our team is incorporating over 30 years of environmental science experience with sound harmonics, plant electrophysiology, individual psychology and behavioral ecology of communities (people and plant!) Resonant Ecology's integrative approach to research and activism is facilitated by leading edge technology and driven by community involvement.
